Aerial theatre : As the world tipped
The boys and I headed into town this evening for some open air theatre (of the aerial kind). Bradford City Council hosted Wired Aerial Theatre's "As the world tipped" for a one night performance featuring aerial acrobatics together with a cutting-edge video art installation.
The story was powerful. At the Copenhagen Climate Change conference, stressed delegates fail to notice the world literally sliding towards disaster. Suspended over the audience the performers struggle to the precarious world around them as they battle environmental catastrophe.
As the world tips was written and directed by Nigel Jamieson, renowned for his large scale work (Sydney Olympics, Liverpool European City of Culture).
