Weekend movie : Legend of the Guardians

Our choice of weekend DVD ticked all the boxes : adventure, a fight between good and evil, amazing special effects and of course, owls.
Directed by Zack Snyder and based on a series of books written by Kathryn Lasky, the story follows Soren, a young owl who is kidnapped and taken to the land of the  Pure Ones (basically, Owl Nazis),  where there are only two choices in life - become a slave or a soldier.
When he gets a chance to escape he sets off on a mission to find the  Guardians of Ga'hoole, noble owl warriors who will  protect the weak and rescue the enslaved baby owls.
