An interesting new cheese I tried whilst in Germany is Gołka. It is a smoked cheese made from cows milk, with an interesting texture that is not at all what I expected. Chewy and spongy at the same time, it reminds me of a deep fried tofu WITH some flavour. It looks so attractive in a bowl with the decorative markings. Best served fried and with a sweet lingonberry jam I am told.
