Exhibition : Yayoi Kusama at the Tate (Feb.-June 2012)

I've had a few coincidences recently that I feel I must blog them. First, the cover of the Tube map and then today a friend gave me a musical suggestion - Koreless.

The link? The Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama who has an exhibition running at the Tate until 5th June. Most famous for her polka dots - which have always been my thing. Koreless, the 19 year old producer from Glasgow performed as part of the exhibition.

*The polka dot is a pattern consisting of an array of filled circles. Polka dots are seen as a playful pattern seen mostly on children's clothing, toys and stationery, also adult lingerie and bathing suits. One early recorded mention of the term "polka dot" was in 1854 in the Yale Literary Magazine. It is named after the dance of the same name. Though there is no other link apart from that they both became famous at the same period of time.
