- 180g butter
- 180g sugar
- 140g self-raising flour
- 80g ground almonds
- 3 eggs
- half teaspoon baking powder
- 100ml milk

- 50g chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat oven to 160C (140C fan) and grease and line a 900g (2lb) loaf tin with a long strip of baking paper. Cream together the butter and sugar using an electric whisk. Add the eggs one at a time before adding the flour, almonds, milk, baking powder and cocoa powder until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour into your loaf tin. Bake for 45-55 minutes until risen and a skewer that has been poked through the centre comes out clean.
