Health benefits of being a bookworm

How often do you read? A survey by literacy charity Quick Reads has found that 29 per cent of UK adults have only read one book for pleasure in the last 6 months. The survey also discovered that 62% of women felt more relaxed when reading; 70% said it helped them "switch off" and 32% said that finishing a book gave them the same satisfaction as going to the gym. So go on, give your brain a workout and reap the rewards!*
