Something sweet...

A new bakery favourite - Quarktasche (quark handbag)
I'm going to have a go making my own at the weekend. I just hope I can find some quark in the supermarket.

Facts about quark

  • It is a fresh young cheese popular in Germany and Eastern Europe
  • It is used in so many recipes, both savoury and sweet.
  • It has a creamy, thick texture and a fresh, slightly sour taste (a bit like yogurt)
  • It comes in a 0%, 20% and 40% fat content (I've only found the 0% in UK supermarkets)
