St David's Day - March 1st

Well, look what I found for sale in Sainsbury's! Yes, Welshcakes! I guess you can describe them as flattened fruit scones which aren't quite as crumbly. I like to eat mine lightly toasted with a knob of melting butter on the top. See below.

We have just experienced a very crazy snow attack. Our local schools were shut for three days, no trains were running, the supermarkets were empty by Saturday afternoon and worse of all, my washing machine waste pipe had frozen solid. Good grief - we just can't deal with this type of weather. It's a disaster!

On the plus side it was lovely not having cars on the streets. I could get used to that!
